Excavation Work For The Grand Temple

The construction of ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple and Cultural Complex – Glory of India and Pride of Karnataka, began with the excavation works on 2nd August 2012. The hillock was cut to the ground level, suitable to house the multi-storied building. The hillock was a mix of hard and soft rocks. Special stone drilling equipments were brought to cut the stone. Four JCB earthmovers and 2 stone drillers and cutters were employed for about 100 days to cut down the hill to the ground level.

Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony

Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony was performed on 24th February 2013 by His Grace Sriman Madhupandit Das, President, ISKCON Bangalore along with other dignitaries His Grace Sriman Jai Chaitanya Das, President, ISKCON Mysore, Sri Prahlad Joshi, M.P., Sri Chandrakant Bellad, M.L.A. and Sri Dr. Panduranga Patil, Honorable Mayor, HDMC.

Temple Foundation Work

The grand temple requires a very strong foundation. The foundation work for the temple began on 11th July 2013. The temple hall will stand on four mega pillars, and the main temple structure would be supported by 110 pillars. Sri Radha Kunda & Sri Shyam Kunda

Sri Radha Kunda & Sri Shyama Kunda are two holy tanks situated in a village called Aristavan on the foots of Govardhan Hill, U.P, India. Sri Radha Kunda is considered by Gaudiya Vaishnavas to be the most holy place in the universe . A small replica of Sri Radha Kunda & Sri Shyama Kunda were inaugurated on 21st October 2021. On festival days, the deities ride in the their boats around the ponds.
