Sri Vyasa Puja – On 8th September 2023

The appearance day of Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada os celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm every year on the day of Nandotsava.

The days celebrations start at 7.00pm with grand abhishekham for Utsavar Deity of Srila Prabhupada in the temple hall. As the devotees chant the mantras and sang devotional bhajans, the deity is bathed with all auspicious liquids and showered with flowers. This is followed by a recorded Macromedia Lecture of Srila Prabhupada. The devotees read their written offerings to glorify Srila Prabhupada. Later, guru puja is performed. The utsavar deity is then taken on a palanquin to Cultural Hall.

The disciples and the followers of Srila Prabhupada prepare many delicacies which are offered to him. The special attraction of the day is the cake prepared by temple devotees. The cake weighs around 75kgs. The various delicacies and Cake Prasadam are distributed to all the devotees who come to participate in the festival.

This year we are celebrating Sri Vyasa Puja on Friday, 8th September 2023.
